Lara Hamlet Joins Evergreen Healthcare Partners
Evergreen Healthcare Partners is pleased to welcome Lara Hamlet to the team as our newest Consultant Engagement Director. In her role on the Talent Engagement team, Lara will be a trusted partner and facilitator of positive connections for consultants with Outpatient Clinical expertise.
Lara joins Evergreen with a Bachelor’s degree in Science from Virginia Tech and a Master’s degree in Teaching from Hollins University. During college, she spent time working as a Pharmacy Tech and later went on to work for MCV/VCU Medical Center in the Pediatric Nutrition and Dietetic department. Lara’s family roots are in the healthcare industry as her father was a CIO and her husband is now a healthcare consultant. After college, Lara spent 15-years in the education sector.
It is throughout her career as an educator that Lara cultivated a level of grit, determination, and perseverance, with which she will eagerly apply to her position as a Consultant Engagement Director. In her most recent work at Guidepost, she directed development efforts, specifically targeting the adaptation and design of Learning Management Systems to reach populations across the world. Lara comes to Evergreen with an intricate set of soft skills acquired from her seven years of experience in charter school education administration. While there, she was instrumental in the creation and expansion of the learning institution’s strategic plan. She was a consistent member and participant of the school board and was recognized for exceptional achievements in community relations and programmatic expansion. Additionally, she led community engagement growth, by designing and facilitating the county’s only full-scale, youth service-learning program.
“Lara brings so much passion and authenticity to our Evergreen team,” says Fieber, SVP of Talent Engagement. “She has an unwavering commitment to excellence and a genuine communication style that makes it easy to cultivate a relationship with her. We are beyond grateful Lara chose to dedicate her time and skills to our community, specifically to our consultant partners.”
When asked why Lara chose Evergreen for the next chapter of her career, she shared, “My father is a retired CIO of a hospital, and my husband is an IT Security Analyst. Healthcare and IT have always been intricately woven into my path. There are many parts of being an educator I loved, but the parts that inspired me about this position are the collective experiences shared among colleagues and the community we have the opportunity to serve.”
Lara currently lives in North Carolina with her husband and two dogs. With the beach as her backyard, she spends much of her free time in the outdoors. When not exploring her own backyard, she will jump at any opportunity to travel and discover the great backyards of the world.
“I am thrilled to be part of the Evergreen team and have the opportunity to experience the human interactions between consultants and clients at healthcare systems across the nation,” says Hamlet. “When reflecting on this transition, I feel I haven’t so much switched, but merely pivoted with a new perspective in human centricity. In the most serendipitous way, I find my path close to where I began.”
