Evergreen Healthcare Partners Welcomes Luke Vrooman

We are pleased to share that Luke Vrooman joins Evergreen as a Consultant Engagement Director to support our consultants with expertise in the Patient Access space.

Luke comes to Evergreen with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Indiana University Bloomington. During college, he was an active member of the Liberal Arts Management Program, as well as an undergraduate researcher for the IU Cognitive Development lab where he focused on early childhood development studies. After college, Luke launched his career by joining Epic where he spent 7 years working as a Quality Manager and Application Manager for EpicCare Ambulatory, as well as a Corporate Recruiter.

At Epic, Luke had a range of career achievements. He was the Compliance Manager for a team tasked with certifying Wisdom with Epic’s first-ever Finland customer. He was a mentor for new employees—guiding and teaching them about their role on the EpicCare Ambulatory team. As a Recruiter, Luke had the highest candidate satisfaction and acceptance rate among his colleagues, which is a testament to his passion for understanding others. Luke is grateful for his time at Epic, the experiences he had, and what it taught him which is directly related to his work here at Evergreen.

During Luke’s year post-Epic, he worked for the Wisconsin Supreme Court as a Business Process Analyst where he helped implement software updates across the state, as well as support court personnel and the general public with technical issues. While this was a great landing spot for a short time, Luke knew he wanted to get back to a role that allowed him to connect with people.

“Luke is someone who builds rapport quickly,” says Fieber, SVP of Talent Engagement. “He is a genuine, thoughtful, and attentive listener and communicator. In our industry, it’s easy to rush through conversations without truly getting to know the other person, but that is not our goal. At Evergreen, we want to invest in cultivating authentic partnerships, and I cannot think of a better person to build these relationships than Luke. We are so thankful Luke chose Evergreen as his career home, and we can’t wait for our consultant partners to get to know him.”

When asked why Luke chose Evergreen for the next chapter of his career, he shared, “I’ve spent my entire career in IT, most of it on the healthcare side. While I enjoyed the technical aspect of it, my internal drive and passion is helping others grow their own careers. As a Consultant Engagement Director, I not only get to support individuals in finding opportunities that help them thrive, but I also get to know people on a personal level. I’m excited to share my time and passions with our team and with the consultants I have the pleasure of interacting with!”

Luke currently lives in Wisconsin with his husband Kyle and two mini-dachshunds, Archie and Rudy. Luke will never turn down the opportunity to try a new restaurant and loves to travel the world to experience new cultures. His favorite place so far has been Japan. Next on the list—Italy and Amsterdam!
